A traditional Indian weapon, the chakram was a steel or bronze circular-edged disc thrown at enemy soldiers. They could also be used in close quarters combat, and came in a range of sizes, from ones that went around the wrist to much larger. Indian haladie (double bladed dagger) from the Rajput warriors of India. All steel forged construction, including the handle, with two double edged blades and a knuckle guard. The knuckle guard would have had a third small straight blade sticking out, but it is missing with only an attachment hole remaining. The blades are pitted from old rust, but they are now cleaned of the rust and oxidized dark. 26" Overall with two 10 1/2" Blades. 19th century or earlier. Arm Armor, Straight Blade

Early 19th Century Indian Patissa Khanda Sword  Here we have a fine example of the legendary Indian doubled edged sword, the Patissa Khanda. The heavy but well balanced blade features deep fullers, a rounded tip which is typical of the patissa Khanda and almost all of its original polish remains. The blade is mounted on a silver gilted basket type hilt, which brandishes a curved spike. The grip is also bound with leather cord and the Khanda comes with a restored scabbard.

Length: 65.2 cm, blade: 19.7 cm. Design, Chinese Weapons
