Cloth Hat Patterns

Back in the days before walk in closets there was a hat storage issue. Hats that could be stored flat became fashionable. The three patent designs shown here could be the starting point for some cute hats today. The fourth hat is just plain easy too though I would probably sew them all into the final shape. Click the pictures to be taken to the patents. If anyone makes anything from these ideas please show me! Here is another one.

Blue Flapper Cloche Hat ♡

Blauwe Flapper Cloche hoed | Etsy

1920's Style Hat

Because every girl needs a new hat, right? I made do with a green felt, rather shapeless hat last weekend, not having time to make a new hat before our outing, but this week I set to work making a proper one. And here is an original 1920's quilted hat. I loved coming across this one since it looked easy to reproduce. I love the colors and the fun quilting pattern. I also love the wide brim. The brim on my version didn't come out as wide or flared, but I will definitely try this shape for a…

"Lörppäpipon"/ruttupipon ompeluohje // Sewing directions for a loose jersey hat

Balls to the Walls Knits: Floral Mesh Bonnet

Floral Mesh Bonnet

Floral Mesh Bonnet I can proudly state that this is my first-ever matching product; in fact, it goes with last week's design, the Floral Mesh Scarf. And while I haven't ever used the same stitch pattern week-to-week before, I just couldn't resist with this one since, as soon as I saw the scarf completed, I knew it had to have a bonnet. I also sized it for children through adults for a super-fun, multi-seasonal look that will fit most everyone in your family. Why? Well, 'cause they're all…
