Add meat to a large bowl 2. Blitz spinach, blueberries, pumpkin puree & egg in blender or food processor (or dice/mash to tiny pieces) 3. Add mixture to meat 4. Add oats 5. Mix well 6. Spread with Jerky gun & dehydrate on 130 for 36 hours If you don’t have a dehydrator, spread to ¼ inch thick on a baking sheet, add score lines with knife or pizza cutter, bake in the oven on 150-200 for 6 hours; or until moisture is removed completely & treats are brittle/easy to break up. Let cool completely before putting in a container *the dehydrator/jerky gun obviously do a better job, but the dogs have definitely never complained about the oven ones before 😅 Storage Guidelines: I store mine in the cupboard because I am absolutely sure all moisture has been removed. If you’re not sure, best to store in the fridge. I actually did 4x the recipe and ended up with 2lbs of treats once all moisture was removed. The active ingredient in turmeric is 95 percent curcumin and it is a wonderful natural anti-inflammatory. There are hundreds of studies showing the clear benefits of 95 percent curcumin for dogs and cats. If you have an older dog or cat consider the turmeric. Quarter of a teaspoon for 10 pounds of body weight daily. Remedy number three we have parsley. Parsley is a good natural diuretic meaning we have animals that are underlying heart disease. Parsley that can help remove some of that excess fluid. It's also a great bad breath remedy for our dogs and cats. Mix one tablespoon of coconut oil with 1 teaspoon of parsley.
