Look at head carriage & angles of legs to compare. The horse on top looks balanced, relaxed & freely forward in natural gaits. Horse in the bottom picture is restricted in jaw, neck & back, contractions in top-line create pain & tension in back, causing horse to travel on forehand, rider leaning back against mouth, pushing in with the seat, forcing the hind legs out, nose behind the vertical, croup high & therefore a horse heavy in the hand & reluctant to forward aids. www.dressur-studien.de
