what about the interior walls? I love this often overlooked method of wattle & daub, as shown in this photo from http://casedinbalotidepaie.ro/. It is one of the oldest building techniques, using any small, but strong, woven lattice with a clay, sand, straw mixture (similar to cob) pressed on top. The clay mixture pushes through all of the nooks & crannies, creating a great bond to the lattice, and a very strong, thin, and natural interior wall system.
