My first time trying scalloped smocking 🌷. As you can see from my scribbles your girl was struggling to mark out that pattern. I made a lot of mistakes 🥲. This was one of those instances where a projector or template would’ve come in handy. Once I got a hang of mapping out the pattern the sewing and gathering part was nice and straight forward. I could see this scalloped edge looking really pretty on the hem of a skirt or a puff sleeve. What do you think? Would you try this technique?
