The "mind jar" is a tool that teachers can make and keep in their classroom. It is designed to relieve stress, and encourage kids to think in the present. Students can go and use this on their own time as needed. They are supposed to use it when they feel stressed overwhelmed or upset. They should imagine the glitter as their thoughts and the jar as their head. They should then watch the glitter fall to the bottom of the jar, as the thoughts settle in their head.

"A Mind Jar is a meditation tool to use whenever a child feels stressed, overwhelmed or upset. Imagine the glitter as your thoughts. When you shake the jar, imagine your head full of whirling thoughts, then watch them slowly settle while you calm down".
