They wick moisture away from your skin to prevent rot and infection. But any socks can quickly turn into survival tools. Put them on your hands to protect them from heat and thorns. Tie them to make a sling, pouch or tourniquet. An extra pair can act as ear muffs, gloves or a heat pack to keep you warmer. Fill with rocks to fashion a weapon.
