Instead of using painter’s tape to mask off above baseboards and other areas you don’t want painted when painting trim, use a so-called paint shield.
This is a great way to add height and volume to your base boards. A DIY idea we have used in the past.
Make your baseboard more dramatic...add small pieces of trim to the top of existing baseboard, add a few inches and add another piece of molding. Paint the wall and trim white. This also works for crown molding too!
