Reserve Officer School in Hamina. The main building from 1898 by Jacob Ahrenberg was originally the main building of the Imperial Cadet School of Finland, which used to be located in Hamina in 1821-1903. Since 1920, the main building has been used by the Reserve Officer School.

The roots of Hamina go back to the 17th century, and Hamina with its age of over 360 years is actually the oldest town in the region of Kymenlaakso, Finland. The old centre of Hamina is a real attraction. The circular town plan, which is very rare on a global scale, and the surrounding star-shaped fortress constitute a unique sight which is certainly worth exploring.

There is a stone labyrinth in Mustaviiri Island. The oldest labyrinths were made in the Stone Age, and the youngest a bit over a hundred years ago. It is believed that they were places for meeting and playing, but they probably have something to do with fishing and hunting magic as well. Most scientists nowadays think, that the labyrinths are religious constructions.
