Moomintroll, Sniff and Snufkin walk on stilts across...the dried up sea or something...anyway, they're on their way to the observatory to check out the comet flying towards them. When I was younger particularly and first read the book "Comet in Moominland", it really kept me in suspense - I thought the comet was going to crash into moominvalley! But it didn't, thank goodness for that.

Tove Jansson - "Vad hände sen?" The use of colour is probably the most important thing. the red and the yellow stop the picture from being boring and to make the trees look darker. moomin then stands out because they are so pale contrasting with the trees making them the first focus of the picture
