Stained Glass Sugar Cookies: 2 3/4 c flour, 1 t baking soda, 1/2 baking powder, 1 soft butter, 1-1/2 c white sugar, 1 egg, 1 t vanilla. Mix flour, bs, bp & set aside. In a large bowl, cream butter & sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll, cut, place on parchment lined baking sheets. Put crushed hard candy or gummies in the center. Bake @ 375 for 8-10 min, until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet 5 min; cool on wire racks. Store b/t wax paper.
