Tapio Wirkkala (Iida Riikonen)

Tapio Wirkkala oli suomalainen muotoilija ja kuvanveistäjä. Häntä pidetään taideteollisuuden johtavana hahmona. "Wirkkalan kaudeksi" kutsutaan suomalaisen taideteollisuuden sodanjälkeistä kultakautta aina 1960-luvulle asti. Wirkkala on suunnitellut monia klassikko esineitä, kuten Kanttarelli-maljakon ja seteleitä Suomen Pankille. Erityisesti tunnetuksi ovat tuleet Wirkkalan Iittalalle suunnittelemat astiat. Näistä varmaan tunnetuin on Ultima Thule-sarjan lasisto.
