Cut inch squares of knit fabric. Can use old t-shirts, grandmas double knit pants etc. Fold into triangles and sew onto a heavy fabric, such as denim or duck cloth. Draw lines one inch apart on your backing fabric. These will be your stitching lines.

Suet Cakes  Make seedy suet cakes easily and economically. Just combine one part peanut butter, two parts birdseed, and five parts cornmeal to each part melted beef suet (available in the meat section of your grocery store). Press the mixture into muffin tins. Let harden. Drop a suet cake into a net bag and hang from a tree branch
