Origami as art - the blog (which is in Finnish) also has some thoughts about lamps in the same style - I am thinking about lamp shades done in the metallic or coloured vellum from the stationers, to add both colour and sparkle...
I love this idea of marbelised glass ornaments - they're so pretty and sophisticated, and doing it with spray paint seems like it'd be pretty simple, and fast.
So this is totally designed as a kid's project. But I imagine it could get really sophisticated if you just swapped out the rainbow colours for a more sophisticated pallette - all malachite greens, or shades of shimmering champagne - and it'd be so fast...
