Reserved for Joyce - Sea Mist and White One Handle Stoneware Soup Bowls - Set of 2

This soothing bubbler is part of an entry garden for a home on the island of Oahu. Its 30-inch-wide glazed and sealed stoneware bowl (find similar ones for around $100) is fitted with a small bubbler pump (from $20; thehomedepot.com). Because the bubbler does little more than stir the water, there’s no need for a reservoir beneath the bowl.

Made from stoneware clay and fired to 1,220 degrees centigrade in an electric kiln. I made this little shy fairy, or sleeping pixie, by hand and without using a mould so each one I make is slightly different. Is she holding her hat down to shade her eyes from the sun or so shy she doesnt want you to see her face? Your imagination must decide. She will be just as happy hiding in your fairy garden as she will be as an ornament in your home, and because Ive used stoneware clay, shes frost…

It's hard it's easy to look at cups that are cups that are cups that are gone now broken are they cups or are they just gone? And hard because they were: look at photos of you with your grandparents. And easy because they were: you knew them once that was enough. The photo here is from when I was taking photos of the cups it was a short while ago. One of the cups here it isn't it's broken broken scattered amongst those of the other pots. Not by my decision. I've broken many pots with a…

kitchen cabinets painted blue | Remodelaholic | I am a Pin-head! The Pinhead Project

Cottage Blue - Blue cabinets are an unusual choice, but the effect is pure charm. Off-white beaded-board walls, hardwood countertops, and vintage-inspired cabinet hardware create a bright, beautiful space that connotes a cottage-style kitchen.

One of my new vessels with a tenmoku glaze specially formulated to move in the firing so it runs downwards just enough to give a sense of travel and life but not so much that it ends up in a pool of glass on the kiln shelf! I like this glaze because of the differences in colour from where it is thin to thick and the variations in surface-feel depending on how much heat it has received in the kiln. The glaze takes its treacle colour from the addition of red iron oxide. Some of the speckles…
