My favorite part of the whole movie. Gosh, Friedrich, you can be so dumb sometimes.
Platoon directed/written by Oliver Stone (1986). The tagline for this film is "The first casualty in war is innocence," and that is evident after viewing it. Two sergeants, one good and one battle-hardened, are in charge of a platoon of young American soldiers. Stone himself was a Vietnam War veteran, and he wrote a screenplay in 1968 to try to deal with his PTSD and survivor's guilt he had once he returned home. Platoon won several Academy Awards in 1987, including Best Picture.

Isn't nature amazing.? There is such a variety of floral shapes and colours that I just seem to happen upon at the moment on my morning dog walks. This is my time. I don't listen to any podcasts or music - it's just 45 mins of peace and quiet in the middle of nature. It's when I daydream plan and just take the time to stop and smell the honeysuckle. My favourite way to start the day. What's yours?
