How many abuse survivers do choose a narrower version of what they view life has to offer them as a result of their abuse? I would venture to guess probably more than one-half. Why do we continue to let them determine the direction of our lives when we have won? If you are reading this and have the ability to even remotely consider your own life, you have won. Don't return any power to your abuser. You have endured too much for too long to give anything back.

Really?? I'm pretty sure I have something to do with how my son is being raised :) Some better advice would be "Don't marry a man who doesn't love you." Only fools marry for reasons other than love. Talk about being #insecure! And don't think you can MAKE someone love you. It's arrogant to think you can. So dumb. RM
