Total length 38-39.5 cm, foot 20-21 cm, width 16 cm. - Explanation: Socks for deceased should be made of linen, not wool or cotton, and they should be nalbound. Mitten, sewn with nálbinding or vattarsaumur, from the middle ages. Found deep in the earth at 	Arnheiðarstaðir, Fljótsdalur.Dated 900-1000. Dating is a bit questionable as it was based on a penannular brooch found close to - but not in direkt context with the mitten.
