Product Details
UNLIKE THE CHEAP PIECES YOU CAN SEE ELSEWHERE THAT USE ARTIFICIAL VIDEO DEVICES TO ENHANCE THE SURFACE SHEEN / GLIT, THIS ONE WAS FILMED / PHOTOGRAPHED AS IT WOULD APPEAR IN REAL LIFE, NOT ARTIFICIALLY VITRIFIED. This is a truly amazing middle Paleolithic (Mousterian) hand axe from France made of very good quality and solid flint, quite well executed, and featuring a nice iron-stained beige patina. The knapping work is finely executed, and so is the shape. The photographs and the video are true to life, using no bling filter. This biface was discovered in the town of Saint-Brice sous Rânes, county of Orne, Normandy area, France. This Mousterian hand axe is a typical product of Homo Neanderthalensis. This piece was finely knapped, and has retained most of its original removals with no losses or erosion. It shows perfect complete form with choice workmanship. Condition: complete, with no repair or restoration. Origin: former old private collection. Size: 8,3 X 6,3 CM Culture: Mousterian. Age: Middle Palaeolithic, 40,000 years ago.
