Heuchera 'Berry Smoothie' Coral Bells Patent No: Plant Type: Perennials A delicious blend of heat loving H. Villosa and cold tolerant H. Americana, shows a beautiful rose-pink color all season long, nice purple-white flowers
For a brilliant splash of purple, consider 'Sugar Plum' Coral Bells (Heuchera). I have it edging a long border with bluebells and a white evergreen candytuft plant ( don't know name). They soon reproduce themselves too, so are good value.
'Citronelle' coral bells (Heuchera 'Citronelle') - one of the best, brightest (but not blinding--really) Heucheras for shade. Now if I can only find a black one to go with it.think 2012 Year of the Heuchera: 'Black Out'
Heuchera ‘Spellbound’ Fancy-leaf Coral Bells The plant forms a large mound of ruffled, rose-purple leaves with silver overlay. A shady site produces more silver tones. Grow in part to full Shade; height is 8 to 10 inches and width is 12 to 16 inches.
Who needs flowers when you can have the vibrant foliage of coleus? Coleus likes part shade, so keep it out of afternoon sun and water several times a week. Plant alongside popular shade perennials like hosta and heuchera, and annuals like impatiens and nicotiana. For more companion plants, check out The Home Depot's Garden Club.
