Ajatuksia herättävä, vaikkakin niin kovin amerikkalainen.

Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia. Read Italy and Bali, skip India. Elizabeth didn't really get anything from India.

Elizabeth Gilbert: She came across as being too neurotic and judgmental of expats in her book. Her book was a memoir so it was about her, but it’s treatment of the foreign countries that she traveled to was too superficial and 1-D. Like the tone + structure.

Don't forget to read the book of the movie: Eat, Pray, Love: one woman's search for everything across Italy, India and Indonesia, by Elizabeth Gilbert

“In the world I notice persons are nearly always stressed and have no time...I don't know how persons with jobs do the jobs and all the living as well...I guess the time gets spread very thin like butter all over the world, the roads and houses and playgrounds and stores, so there's only a little smear of time on each place, then everyone has to hurry on to the next bit.” ― Emma Donoghue, Room

Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom: I read this in conjunction with The Problem of Pain by C.S. Lewis while taking a "God, Suffering, & Evil" in college. This book reminds me that we must cherish those that are important to us. We must ask them all of the questions that we can while they are still in our lives. It's about learning life’s greatest lesson through the death of a friend. It's about feeling a great passion for life. We must be ready for our time when we meet God.

Tuesdays With Morrie - Mitch Albom. This book has some great quotes and life lessons
