Synchronism Synchronism was an art movement founded in 1912 by American artists Stanton MacDonald-Wright and Morgan Russell .

Stanton Macdonald-Wright (American, 1890-1973) | Synchromy | 1917. was a modern American artist who was a co-founder of Synchromism, an early abstract, color-based mode of painting. The Orphists Robert and Sonia Delaunay) were later to claim that the Synchromists had merely borrowed the principles of color abstraction from Orphism, a point vehemently disputed by Macdonald-Wright and Russell.
