"These gray nalbound mittens with embroidery in Holbein stitch, were made in Brodén Stitch UOOO/UUUOO, F1 (aka suomeksi 1+3). In the neighbouring country Sweden this nalbinding stitch was made well-known by Märta Brodén when she wrote her Nålbindning book in the 1970's, but this stitch type has been known here in Finland as well."

Needlebound / nalbound gloves with Carelian embroidery details, tassels at the finger tips inspired by church mittens that were not supposed to be used for working (ie on a Sunday). Made with Finnish Villa Laurila's angora rabbits yarn using the Finnish Stitch 2+2, UUOO/UUOOO F2, by Sanna-Mari Pihlajapiha.
