of rain puts about 600 gallons of water atop a square foot house! That's a lot of free water. These cisterns collect rainwater from a nearby roof and when the tanks are full water is dispersed through a gravity-fed drip system that irrigates crops.
Photographer Marianne Kjølner snapped this pair of photographs of a bizarre tree in Denmark - West coast, a very windy place were there isn’t much that can grow. So the tree can only grow where it has shelter.
Darling little house.love the window boxes! This is not really a garden shed but rather a garden cottage. Even has a white picket fence! So quaint and cute. I continue to have hopes for my own garden shed.
Neat idea for an outdoor tub. I don't think I really want to bathe outdoors (living as close to my neighbors as I do), but I can see using an old tin tub as an outdoor water feature in the backyard. This is at the Magnolia Pearl Ranch in Texas.
