Felt Castle Play Mat

Last week I posted a really fun portable Noah's Ark in a wine tote. I made everything out of felt and it turned out to be pretty cute, I really love open ended toys. This week I made a second felt toy, a castle. Instead of using a cardboard wine tote I bought a cardboard mailing tube and covered it with felt. Then I cut out lots and lots of castle shapes from dark and light gray felt. I cut squares and rectangles, doorways, parapets, triangles and then we made some cute people and a dragon…
