Copper JohnInvented by John Barr in the mid 90’s. It’s easy to tie and very effective when you need a heavy simple nymph pattern. By changing the color of the Copper Wire you can easily make variations to cover different situations better. The classic Elk Hair Caddis is a fast and easy fly to tye that uses only two materials. Created by Hans Weilenmann in the early 90's it has become famous around the globe as a universal pattern that works well in most situations. It's a variation of Al Troth's Elk Hair Caddis. The brilliance of this pattern is the use of only one CDC feather to form the body and fuzzy front end of the fly.

October Caddis, Foam - Almost nothing in fly fishing is as exciting as skating or drifting big flies for aggressive fish. Big trout often wait all day for such a meal. #dryfly #RiverBum
