This is a vintage double page art print featuring a botanical illustration from the 1800s by John James Audubon (1785-1851), the renowned American ornithologist, naturalist, and painter. This print features four Turtle Doves (Carolina Pigeons) amid green and white flowering silky camellia bushes. (See more below, including a 10% discount offer.)
Page measures 14 1/8" h x 10 3/8" w (35.9 x 26.4 cm)
+ This print is from a collection of 18th and 19th century floral artwork that was reproduced in the 1940s.
+ The off-white/ivory stock is of very good quality with a very slight sheen.
+ Sold unframed so you can frame it to suit your own tastes and décor.
+ You will receive the print shown above in photo 1 which is a double-page folio from the vintage 1940s book, not a copy of the page and not the original illustration from the 1800s. (The back of the page is blank so no worries about bleed-through.)
+ Photo 2 shows the attached facing page which is a brief biography of the artist and information on the artwork.
+ Condition is excellent with possible slight overall mellowing to the page.
