Wille Salonen (1918-1970s) - Moonlight on shore - Finland - He was the twin brother of Lauri Salonen (1918-1986). He always lived in Finland and never moved to Canada as his brother did. He was more prolific than Lauri with similar artistic themes - landscapes featuring lakes and forests. Both Lauri and Wille were boxers in Finland before World War II. Both were conscientious objectors due to their Jehovah's Witness faith, and Lauri was in jail for much of World War II as a result.
