viking age peplos style overdress. 11th cent... It's vastly ignored by most people interested in Vikings and Rus cultures, how much of it was a part of the culture in Finnland... And still is! Their culture, and of course that of the Sami people, are the oldest in Europe, dating back 5 to 10.000 years! It's disgusting how judeo-christianity has replaced our own ancient cultures with the abrahamaic ones, from the near east!

A stunningly intact and crisp Baltic Viking bronze tortoise brooch, with the original pin and delicate pin pivot. The raised decoration is amazingly articulated--the brooch is as it was made about a thousand years ago, except for the blackish patina. This is the finest example of this type and size I have ever seen. 9th to 11th century (55mm excluding the pin).
