Pros and cons of bitless riding. Awesome article but one con to add. Bitless, especially mechanical hakamores, are not for beginners. Too much constant pulling and balancing on the reins not only frustrates the horse, but defeats the purpose of why you're probably using it. Bitless can be just as good as a curb bit if not properly used, and worse if not fitted correctly.
