Here is my process for this ornament. I first roll out the clay then roll one of my grandmothers doilies into the wet clay. This snowflake has a swirl in it. I use a vintage style cookie cutter to cut out the ornament. The clay is allowed to dry then fired. I then applied a vintage type glaze and fire a second time. The ornament has a real Victorian antique look to it in a soft, cool toned white with the higher points being a lighter white.
