Back In The Day Before Everything Was Ruined

Remember doing this as a kid? Sunday comics were best! Silly Puddy just doesn't work the same today.

I passed a butt load of notes back in the day!

Yes, the original text! And the teacher would threaten to read it to the entire class! You didn't know fear until a teacher caught you passing a note and took it!

Ok, who wore pom-pom socks back in the day? Raise your hands!

Farewell letter from

who wore pom-pom socks back in the day? *****you wanted to throw the socks away once the pom-pom fell off lol

Old horse swings at the park from back in the day! I remember going to a playground with these as a kid in Massachusetts. We had to pass a little red school house to get there. Memories!

"Handheld Gaming" when I was a kid. This kept me busy ha!

Waterful Ring Toss Water Game - toy from the (Bing Images). I used to play with this for hours (well, not hours) during long car rides and rainy days at camp when I was couped up inside.

I spent many hours on a phone just like this. I would turn the ringer off on all the other phones in the house and this phone would light up when I was expecting a LATE call. Wonderful memories!

See-Through Phones

wanted a clear phone SO bad! but my mom wouldn't let me have a phone line in my room :(

In the 90's before everyone had a cell phone, EVERYONE had a pager! Mine was purple...phone #s would show up then you would call them back...even better they would send a message made with #'s and you would have to turn it upside down to read!! LOL "my pager is blowing up!"

When we had pagers (beepers) instead of cell phones. I remember paging Chris ALL the time in high school!

So……how many of you can remember the View-Master? I can’t because it was before my time. I remember being a little girl and quite fascinated by the view-master. I could travel the world sitting on the sofa and not having.

garbage pail kids. Back in the day my son collected these. Still have them packed away upstairs. lol

Coffee percolator. My parents had this. I use to like to watch the coffee percolate in the glass top. Smelled so good.

Percolator Coffee Pot--still the most reliable coffeemaker. I can close my eyes and still smell my mom fixing coffee every morning for my dad.

THIS is how you shuffled songs back in the day, these were single hit songs.

Do You Remember?

45 RPM records with a stacker = big time! I've still got a slew of 45 records and a record player to play them on.
