The first glass baby bottle in the U.S. was patented by Charles Windship of Roxbury, Massachusetts in 1841. His design featured a teardrop-shaped bottle with a glass tube coming down from the neck to act as a straw.  Attached to the neck was a rubber hose, leading up to a bone mouth guard and a rubber nipple.

Edith Le Sylphe in Sylphide S bend Corset. the s bend shape was acquired by wearing a corset because traditional ideal demanded that women have wasp waists, elegant 20th century women looked like they'd had their body split into 2. this however made walking difficult and damaged the spine shape. this velvet evening dress is darin and worn off the shoulders unlike the day dresses.

"1818's; Josephene Myrtle Corbin, the Four-Legged Woman, was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee in 1868. Rather than having a parasitic twin, Myrtle’s extra legs resulted from an even rarer form of conjoined twinning known as dipygus, which gave her two complete bodies from the waist down. She had two small pelves side-by-side, and each of her smaller inner legs was paired with one of her outer legs. She could move the smaller legs but was unable to use them for walking.

Another terrible practice in the past...extreme corsetry for an impossibly small waist. (Though, this proves that it was possible. *shudders*) :(

Ethel Granger in Vogue Italia: The woman with the world’s smallest waist Ethel Granger, had the smallest waist in recorded history, measuring a mere 13 inches. And she didn’t come by it naturally. As Vogue Italia writes, Ethel’s waist was due to her husband, William Granger, who was obsessed with the idea of a wasp-waisted woman.

Ethel Granger started waist training because her husband, William Granger got pleasure from making her corsets smaller and smaller. This fetish of his made her the woman with the smallest waist in history of mankind with a waist size.

The lady whose midsection appears to be in the process of getting sucked into a black hole is Cathie Jung, who, as you can see, has an entire website based around the fact that her body is terrifying to look at. Thanks to a lifetime of wearing increasingly smaller and more ridiculous corsets, she has a 15-inch waist and presumably a liver that's been flattened to the thickness of a Fruit Roll-up.

Cathie Jung, from NC, has the world's smallest waist, measuring a tiny 15 inches waist. Her overall measurements are
