Part of the Romanov Jewels is this remarkable pink Tourmaline Pendant, known as "Caesar's Ruby". It is said that it was a gift from King Gustavus III of Sweden to Catherine the Great of Russia in the 18th century. It was mounted in Western Europe in the 17th Century, and is now part of the State Diamond Fund of the Russian Federation.
