We've been enjoying lots of sunshine and below -15 C temperatures lately. After long walks in the minus degrees it's perfect to have some hot soup. This sausage soup gets lovely mild heat from curry powder which is then softened by the Finns' favorite processed cheese variety Koskenlaskija. The original recipe has been taken from Kodin Kuvalehti magazine. My mother made this soup so many times that one could call it a family recipe.

Japanese Soufflé Pancakes (new recipe on the blog link in profile). Japanese people love everything fuwafuwa which means soft and fluffy. I so want to go and try the originals at Gram's Cafe or Shiawase no Pankeeki.  The timing is crucial with these pancakes: if you overcook them they will not be as soft and fluffy but more cake-like and if you undercook them they will deflate and collapse. Happy cooking!
