Gas Monkey Bar & Grill, the new restaurant from Dallas entrepreneur Richard Rawlings, is set to open Sept. 23. We got a look at the new joint -- and some of its food -- earlier this week. You may recognize the Gas Monkey name from Discovery Channel reality series "Fast N' Loud," which follows the adventures of Rawlings and his Dallas auto shop, Gas Monkey Garage.

My favorite meal at Stock & Barrel included deliciously tender pork cheeks braised in Dr Pepper and red wine and placed on top of cheesy grits, and the best dessert I experienced all year—decadent bread pudding made with fresh croissants, baked in cream, and covered with crushed English toffee and salty caramel ice cream.
