Explore Eating Disorder Recovery and more!

Even when I was at my target weight, I was still not living as I was still in the depths of my #anorexia I could not stay out late as I had to be home for supper; I didn't have the energy to do everything I wanted; I still relied on my mam to make me eat. I lived half a life. Now I am #recovered I can ANYTHING I want. I have lived in France & Australia; I go out partying; I eat out at restaurants; I try new things and I love strawberry laces :)

A Recovered Life is all about living an authentic, fulfilling life. It's about hope. It's about courage. It's about recovery. I am an eating disorder survivor and activist who believes in FULL recovery, for EVERYONE.

Death from Anorexia may occur suddenly — even when someone is not severely underweight. Complications of anorexia include: Death, anemia, heart problems, bone loss, thinning hair, poor circulation, being cold, brittle nails, fractured bones, electrolyte abnormalities, kidney problems, brain shrinkage, multiple organ failure, dehydration. The damage from Anorexia may not be fully reversible, even when the anorexia is under control. How can anyone possibly think Anorexia sounds beautiful?

As I continue to try and pull myself out I can feel it pulling me under quicker.

A quote about leaving your eating disorder behind, so you can live a long, happy life, and you can't do that if you are suffering with something as serious and disabling as an eating disorder

this is so true for many people with depression or addictions or even just sadness and hopelessness. just turn the page, it'll get better.
