Today I cut up an egg carton into strips with a kitchen knife. I then put Cricket's fruit and veggies inside and scattered the strips around the bottom of her cage. She was a little frightened at first but then went and checked it out.
Regular design on this design of feeder, but added difficulty level by adding extra elements to the pull/push sticks. Bird has to pull the elements away, or in the extreme version elements can be glued with safe glue on place, and bird has to chew them away to be able to pull/push the stick.
Flat, cylinder, fillable hard metallic or acrylic foraging toy concept. Toy is hanging and birds task is to rock it from side to side, so the food will fall out from the holes on the sides. To be filled with roughly the same size food pieces as the holes, so it's not too easy to empty.
I kinda stumbled upon this idea, letting cricket run around on the coffee table. She was interested in the rocks, so I put some pellets in there. She enjoyed moving the rocks around to look for the food!
