Knife set Iron scale tang knife with a wooden handle and a decorated leather sheath. The knife has two tapering facetted wooden scales which form the handle. They are fixed in place by three solid iron rivets. The blade has a straight back and a curved edge and is quite long and narrow. The end cap is missing as is one of the shoulder plates. The sheath is quite damaged; it appears to have a plain back and decorated front. Production Date: Medieval; late 14th-15th century

I haven't seen much reproductions of bauernwehr style knives, so I thought I'd bring these under attention.
