I have seen this pinned many times as a way to survive by weaving walls for an emergency structure.  This is a terrible idea.   First rarely will you have so much cordage in a survival situation; second cordage is as valuable as gold in survival situations, don't waste it weaving it into a wall, use it for traps, weapons and fishing line.
