Begum Cana Ozgur, jeune designer turc, s’est réapproprié cet objet symbole de sa culture, et l'a réactualisé en 2012. La structure alvéolée sert de toile de fond où l’utilisateur peut se créer son propre motif et sa propre histoire en y insérant de petites pièces de feutre colorées.
