Feminism Friday: When women who advocate for women’s rights reject the label “feminist”

Way too god damn sensitive, and need to stop calling everyone sexist, get a damn job bitches! Shit I bet they'd find a way to call you sexist if you said the sky was blue.

“Some problems we share as women, some we do not. You [white women] fear your children will grow up to join the patriarchy and testify against you; we fear our children will be dragged from a car.

I've always been proud to say I'm a feminist from a very early age. From about 10 years old I learned the horrendous double standards that exist for boys and girls. I've argued with my mother about the word and why I choose it over the homogenized word word she chooses "humanist". I'll never betray the women that have come before me or the women and girls still fighting. I'm a FEMINIST and I'm fucking proud as fuck.

This photo brings up a valid point that people look at the word feminist and think being a feminist as a bad thing, but it isn't. It's a state of mind and way of life in which you desire equality between the sexes.

However, allow me to point out that the true feminist would not have referred to the adult males in this statement as "men" while continuing to refer to adult females as "girls." Even feminists have trouble escaping patriarchal thought patterns.

"Feminism" is not a dirty word. It does not mean you hate men, it does not mean you hate girls that habe nice legs and a tan, and it does not mean you are a 'bitch' or 'dyke'; IT MEANS YOU BELIEVE IN EQUALITY.
