Remember when

OMG--the taste of chocolate Quik by the spoonful! That powder would choke you up, but we still did it!

This was my childhood

I'm not a kid but I still did all these things. (PS I survived the garden hose)

Five and Dime Store

Dime Store - Love the wood floors and the shopping baskets---brings back memories! The dime stores I remember always smelled good, too! Tucker's 5 & 10 was awesome but I loved the ones with creaking wooden floors too

Halloween costumes with the cheap plastic masks that got all wet behind them from your breath... until the crappy elastic band broke and then you just had to carry it the rest of the way... LOL

Remember when Halloween costumes were plastic and you couldn't breathe or see in the masks? I had the princess costume.

Book cover

Ahh the good ole days.Who remembers doing this.Covering all your school books with paper.using paper bags from the food store! Had to cover each and every book !

The Flintstones TV Cartoon - yabba dabba doooo... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=556492781104190&set=a.309654735787997.73295.151829521570520&type=1&ref=nf

really fun!!

Rolling down the hill - best fun ever This is so true and we never got hurt or broke out necks, but I bet most kids today have never enjoyed this simple pleasure. Too bad as adults we can't just go out on break at work and roll down the nearest hill

Back in the day, THIS is how we rolled!

Funny pictures about Life Before Cell Phones Was So Simple. Oh, and cool pics about Life Before Cell Phones Was So Simple. Also, Life Before Cell Phones Was So Simple photos.

They came on the trays of the high chairs that were covered in plastic.

Mayor McCheese Plastic Hand Puppet (we didn't have Happy Meals when I was little but we did get these and they were fun) childhood-things

How we use to capture memories #FujiFilms

Film cartridge for a Kodak 110 camera! My first camera was a Brownie. My second was a Kodak 110 camera.

Still do

I grew up always being outside barefoot. Still love to be barefoot. No socks and shoes for this girl. I remember how dirty my feet would be by the end of the day. A foot bath was always in order before bed,

KMart

K-Mart blue light specials. I was teased so bad at school because of my clothes and the kids all said they were K-Mart blue light specials.

PRELL Shampoo 1960s: the "pearl" at the bottom of their bottle of shampoo just like the awesome dinner plates that came in a box of laundry detergent contrast the striking difference in the excellence of those days and the mediocrity of today.

Prell Shampoo- Remember the pearl?in their commercial they would sink a pearl in the shampoo .

So true!

The Top 10 Most Memorable Game Show Catch Phrases

I watched "The Price is Right" every time I stayed home sick from school. I LOVED AND ADORED Bob Barker. And Bob made a popular comeback in college when we would all gather in the common area to watch TPIR just before the doors opened for lunch.
