Pocket-sized hardback manual of directions for midwives and advice for child-bearing women, which purports to have been written by "Aristotle", but dates from the second half of the 19th century . Black hardcover , worn at corners, with gilt lettering . Endpapers are foxed, front hinge is loose but still attached. Pages clean but edges discoloured. Some internal hinges loose Eight coloured plates, some black and white diagrams.
