Sidney Reilly, March 1873   Nov. 1925,  the Ace of Spies, was a Jewish Russian-born adventurer and secret agent employed by Scotland Yard, the British Secret Service Bureau and the Secret Intelligence Service He is said to have spied for at least four nations. His notoriety during the 1920s was created by his friend, Sir Robert Bruce Lockhart, who wrote about him.  After Reilly's death, a London paper published a Master Spy serial about him. Ian Fleming used Reilly as a model for James Bond.

Sidney Reilly - Reilly’s admirers call him “the greatest spy who ever lived” and he was the inspiration for the James Bond character.
