Bought a huskystar from craig'slist ago, came with 6 or so presser feet I have no idea about & since I'm a recent & self taught sewer I think I'll like this site. Thanks fromThe Sewing Corner: "Sewing Machine Presser Feet Cheat Sheet"
Couching is simply sewing a heavy thread in place with a finer thread. Its a retro technique, too, that was originally done by hand, but it works beautifully by machine as well. I use a zigzag stitch to secure the heavy thread in place.
flat felled foot viking - Viking owners desiring a felling foot for smaller jobs, buy the hemmer and pull off the rolly part! The foot is much better for thick fabrics, like denim (I get perfect results on jeans using it).
