These two Language Arts integrated collage activities help develop fine motor skills and require little to no preparation. They are suitable for primary-aged students of all abilities. Both lessons begin with a read-aloud and allow for many individual creative variations. A collection of these snowmen make an eye-catching wall display. Each lesson in this bundle is also available individually. Lessons included are: Torn Paper Snowman Collage -- especially good for younger students and those who are still developing eye-hand coordination and finger muscle strength. Includes literature response templates in three layouts for emerging writers, and Comparing Art worksheets in two versions - a traditional Venn Diagram and a rectangular format. Expressive Snowman Face Collage -- introduces students to portraits in three-quarter view and the concept of communicating with art. Includes art reflection worksheet with prompts to help students assess their own work.
