Product details

Do you need a DIGITAL assignment that is a bit hands-on and will give your students practice calculating average atomic mass? This product gives you a copy of a GOOGLE SLIDES presentation with ANSWERS!

There are 8 slides that allow you to teach/demonstrate, provide student practice, and assess student learning. Each slide provides an image of a bag and three types of beans (which represent different isotopes of the element Beanium). Use the example slide to demonstrate how students can count beans to calculate the relative abundance of each isotope and then use those percentages along with the masses given on the slide to calculate the average atomic mass of the element Beanium. Use the next slide to give students practice. They can drag-and-drop beans to build their own sample and calculate the average atomic mass of that sample while showing their work. Finally, use the last few slides to assess students. Assign a pre-made sample (A-D) and ask students to calculate the average atomic mass of their assigned sample.
