This in an original glass bowl designed by Max Kannegiesser, between 1922 - 1988 and produced in the renown glasswork Borske Sklo, Novy Bor in former Czechoslovakia. Max Kannegiesser was a German Speaking Czech Citizen. He studied art school in Dresden but his biggest success was at Borske Sklo glasswork. Kannegiesser talent and knowledge was immense and irreplaceable, a fact reflected in the event that the Czech government did not deport him from Czechoslovakia after the World War two like other German citizens. Max Kannegiesser is mainly famous for inventing green glaze technique and for his range of glassware called Nemo - which won the national price for best glass design and was the best selling range at the time.
